Sleeping At Work

The trend keeps growing - many employers are allowing (if not encouraging) their employees to take time out of their busy workdays to take a powernap. Research has shown that sleep deprivation results in impaired memory, motor skills, and decision making.

Naps have been shown to improve all those conditions plus they help to reduce stress and even heart disease!


Google features special (crazy looking) napping pods for their employees to get some quick shut-eye. Other companies offer employees the option to include massages and aromatherapy during their resting periods.

Given the chance, I would ABSOLUTELY take a nap at work. I would even go as far to say it could positively influence a decision when on the job-hunt. Is there a downside to this at-work napping??
