John Mayer Shows Off His Legs

So we've heard that John Mayer and Jennifer Anniston broke up again. Rumors have been going around about the cause of the breakup being John Mayer's obsession with posting on his Twitter account. While I find Twitter to be generally annoying and really unnecessary... it's probably not a reason for a break up. However - I think this picture could be a reason to split:

Really, John Mayer? Whoever told you that this look was a good idea should be removed from your staff immediately! What do you think of the picture, or even the whole John and Jen situation?

In short - I'd say it's definitely better for Jennifer Anniston to be single than to be with this guy!

Ohhh It's On!

The New Kids On The Block reign continues here at 96.9 WBTI. The boys (men) have now won 3 days in a row on the New Music Challenge thanks to tons of votes from NKOTB fans all over the country and the world. To date I've heard from Hungary in Europe, California, Vermont, Louisiana, and EVEN some fans around the Sarnia/Port Huron area!

The New Kids fans have certainly started a trend. Everyone got together on their fan site and decided to support their boys on our challenge. With every great idea comes duplication. Looks like the fans of the band from today (Parlor Mob) have mobilized their fan clubs as well. So today, was much closer than I expected - but still a victory for the New Kids.

As a victory gift, here's a video I found. It came out when I was 3. :)

Friday we end on a big note: The New Kids On The Block vs. Beyonce. All bets are off. I am already getting a bunch of emails for each. We'll have the official results Friday night at 6:30PM. Thank you for all of your votes!

New Kids On The Block = Crazy Challenge!!!!

Apparently, there are a ton of New Kids On The Block fans out there. Every night, I have the New Music Challenge at 6PM... somehow... I have no idea how... but New Kids Fans from Sarnia and Port Huron to Westland to Vermont (literally, Vermont) called and emailed me like crazy for the New Kids to win.

If you want to hear the song, click on the video (on wbti.com). I thought Nickelback pretty much had a lock down on the win, but boy was I wrong!

The New Kids On The Block song ended up the champion. What do you think about the song? Do you like it? I'm not sure I'm sold on it yet, but I'm willing to give it a chance. Keep voting tomorrow for your favorite song on the New Music Challenge!

Vacation Has Made Me Lazy

I haven't posed anything on my blog in a long time. I choose to blame it on the vacation I took during the first week of March. It is always busy right before you leave because you pretty much have to do a week of work in advance. Then when you come back, it seems like you still have to do a week's worth of catch up. That's a couple weeks of hard work just for a vacation... but absolutely worth it. :)

Here are a few pictures from my trip that I wanted to share. Maybe if you are having a hard day, just look at some of the scenic photos and pretend you are on vacation.

Arizona & A Hamburger in Arizona

A billboard that says "Ben Copeland" - kind of like Ben Coburn... kind of
. Then, there's me & my Uncle Jim in Arizona

Now... to California: I'm proud of the 1st picture... It could maybe be a postcard? :)

Then the beautiful Pismo Beach

Here, I am not sure who the bear is... if you recognize him, let me know

Also, a palm tree that looks like a pineapple - since I'm from Michigan, I find it amusing

There's me by my Aunt MaryAnn's Prius

Then a great little sign that says "Fattie's - 2 for 1 pizzas" - insert your own punchline

That's it. A great vacation... but great to be back too. :)

American Idol Drama! Yay!

Looks like the drama that we have been waiting for is officially starting on American Idol. FINALLY!! Paula was quoted saying that she doesn't think that 4 judges on American Idol is a good idea for the show.

Kara responded by saying she is disappointed in Paula's comments and also is hurt that Paula did not address the issues in person. Really, we all knew all along that Paula would be jealous of the attention that new judge Kara DioGuardi would get. It was just a matter of time. I hope they start fighting and arguing on the show. That would be fun.

What do you think? Is Kara a good addition to the show? Is Paula a whole lot of crazy?

PS. I think she is nuts! :)

Live It Up On Fat Tuesday

Few things make me happier than free food, especially on Fat Tuesday (apparently also known as Pancake Tuesday)! Here's the scoop:

Tuesday (February 24th) at IHOPs across the country, they will be giving away a short-stack of pancakes to each customer. I know we don't have a local Port Huron IHOP, but it could be a really fun trip, or even a lunchbreak with co-workers! You can stop in pretty much all day, between the hours of 7AM and 10PM for your free pancakes. Just so you know in advance... IHOP asks for a small donation to benefit the Children's Miracle Network. This year they are trying to raise $1 million.

For more information, including a list of IHOP locations, check out their website.

Enjoy your Fat Tuesday! I know I will. Let me know if you end up going. I plan to go at least to one location... who knows... maybe I'll eat at a few! It is Fat Tuesday, after all. :)

Babies = Free Money??

Nadya Suleman, better known now as The Octomom, has definitely had her time in the spotlight. In case somehow you haven't heard of her... here's the Cliff Notes version (before the octuplets): she had 6 kids, no means of supporting them, and no husband/significant other to help raise them. Last week, she used gave birth to 8 more children!

Seems to me that she should be getting some pretty big offers to do a TV show, or a book, or SOMETHING!!! The TLC network already has a couple shows about huge families (17 Kids And Counting and Jon & Kate Plus 8). I think she would be a perfect fit!! She certainly needs to figure something out soon before her and her 14 children starve!

She did have a donation website set up where people could give money via check, credit, or EVEN PAY PAL!! Sadly, the site has been removed. Here is the screen shot:

Recent rumors say that publicists (people who professionally make their clients look respectable) won't even represent her. Probably a bad sign.
What do you think... would you watch a show starring her family or maybe purchase her tell-all-autobiography or just tell her that her 15 minutes of fame are done?
