If you're wondering why today may not have been your best day ever... it could be because Canadian researchers have found that the 3rd Monday in January is the "Most Depressing Day Of The Year". There is a big, goofy formula that they created with their research. In a nutshell, they say causes for the bad mood include: large Christmas credit card bills are due soon, New Years resolutions have fallen through, and usually weather is usually bitterly cold and snowy.
The good news in all of this, is (as long as the research is right) that means you have 364 days that will be less-depressing than today.
Jimmy Kimmel appeared via satellite on Jay Leno's show for the 10@10 feature and spent (almost) the whole time ripping on Jay and the whole NBC situation. The most uncomfortable part is that is was on Jay's show!!
It was almost painful to watch. It was pretty tense and passive aggressive on Jimmy's part (That's what made it great!) My favorite joke was Jay asked what show Jimmy would like to host that he had not hosted before. Jimmy joked that Jay was trying to trick him into hosting The Tonight Show and that Jay planned to take it away immediately afterwards.
Really - the video is your best bet. Get ready for an awkward interview!
Prepare 24 fans... to see Kiefer Sutherland like you've never seen her before... yes... her. He lost a bet to a "former friend" concerning a football game and ended up having to wear a dress on The Late Show with David Letterman. That takes guts. The question is... where did he get that dress from? I bet his grandmother is mad he stole it!
Here's the video if you just can't get enough of Kiefer and his legs:
Jennifer Love Hewitt is back! She was on Lopez Tonight discussing her new book. She somehow gets started talking about how after a breakup - one of her friends made her "precious lady" look like a disco ball by gluing Swarovski Crystals to it.
Watch the video (starting at the 2:40 mark), if you think you can handle it.
First of all - who just randomly has a friend do that? And 2nd - I think it is safe to say she went too far with that information, but it was very entertaining to watch George Lopez's reaction to the whole story.
I'm not usually a huge fan of The Bachelor but I do enjoy watching it from time to time. The new pilot bachelor, Jake, however is very easy (and intriguing) to watch. I'm not exactly sure what it is about him - but I think it has something to do with him being a pilot (i.e. a man in uniform)!
When Jake was asked if any ladies stood out - he said he didn't have his favorites picked yet... he wanted to get to know each of the ladies while he had the time.
There's a good mix of women - from Michelle (crazy marriage/baby obsessed) to Ali - my current favorite (who he called "refreshing") to Christina (crazy backstabbing restaurant manager) to the 5 or 6 gorgeous fashion and product models.
Let me know what you think about this season. Worth watching or a waste of time?
Forget The Bachelor: On The Wings Of Love. While that show premiered tonight - so did a show called The Conveyor Belt Of Love!
5 ladies sit in a large room with paddles that either say "Interested" or "Not Interested". Then 30 guys come out on a conveyor belt - one at a time. Each guy has up to 60 seconds to convince the ladies to pick him. The girls can exchange or "trade up" their guy at any point. Then the new couples go on a date.
While the guys are trying to impress the ladies they are allowed to ask and answer questions. A couple of the girls were pretty blunt - which makes for some entertaining TV.
It may not be a huge long-term hit, but definitely worth watching at least a few times!
Just a quick observation - Gerard Butler is an extremely attractive man. However, when he is not filming a movie where he plays a gladiator - he looks just like the rest of us. Here's a recent photo of a shirtless Gerard: Overall though I can guarantee a few extra pounds would not keep me away from him. What do you think? He cleans up pretty nice!!
