Taylor Swift Must Be Cheating

In the past two months... Taylor Swift has won SO many awards! Yes, she is a talented singer... but is she that outstanding that she just dominates every award show? The American Music Awards aired last night. Miss Swift was nominated for 6 (the most of any artist or group) - she won 5! The one that she lost was to Michael Jackson for Best Pop Album. My conclusion: I think she is cheating (somehow).

Taylor Swift aside... here are some of the highlights (or lowlights [Lambert!!]) from the show.
-The TMobile Breakthrough performance went to the most random band they could find - Gloriana. They are a country band with a church choir harmony, if you can picture that. (Or watch the video @ 1 min mark).



So that was upsetting. That country bumpkin, unknown group managed to beat out the Kings Of Leon and Lady Gaga!

The next one I find very amusing: In the category of Favorite Soundtrack, it was between Hannah Montana: The Movie, Twilight, or Hannah Montana 3. Miley and her alter-ego had a pretty good chance of winning, but lost to Twilight. :)

And finally... they couldn't have picked a more memorable? way to end the show than with Adam Lambert. The song was really bad - but it's hard to say which was worse... the performance or the song itself. I guess we'll just call it a tie.



Wow. Yeah. I know. Bizarre.
I'm headed home to have nightmares.

More Crazy Music

This time, I think Beyonce has lost it... mainly because this is a horrible song. Crazy costumes, strange hair, and guys with giant video cameras for heads??? I would have expected this from Lady Gaga, but not Beyonce. Watch it here:



So overall... nuts! Or at least thats what I think. Anyone disagree?

Nobody Wants A Letter From The IRS

Everybody needs to pay their taxes! There is really no gray area about it. Yet another celebrity has been busted for tax evasion by the IRS. AARON CARTER! Reports say that since 2003, his tax debt had added up to just over $1,000,000!!


The worst part of this for Aaron Carter is he probably isn't making a ton of money right now. Most of his tax debt was from 2003 when he was a super famous child star. Other than Dancing With The Stars, he hasn't really done much in the past 5 years. So I have no idea where that million is going to come from. Perhaps Aaron will be spending some time in jail?? So far there are no reports of jail time that I have seen. Survivor winner Richard Hatch was in a similar boat a few years back, and he just got out of his jail cell...

But, talk about a bad month: get kicked off Dancing With The Stars, get busted for $1 million bucks of back taxes, then maybe find out you're going to jail? Even if it was a cushy, celebrity jail, I don't think he could handle it. I can't wait to see how this works out! Any predictions?

I Think I'm A Lady Gaga Fan

I can't believe that I am thinking this... but I actually and hooked on the NEW Lady Gaga song Bad Romance. I always just thought Lady Gaga was this super strange lady who made songs with crazy lyrics. (LoveGame - "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick" or Poker Face - "I'm not lying I'm just stunning with my love-glue-gunning")


However, the lyrics are beside the point. The video for Bad Romance is really weird, but I couldn't stop watching it. (Check out her shoes in the picture above!!! They look like golden lobster claws!) Watch the video here:



What do you think? Too much, just enough? I think once I saw the video I like the song a lot more. Strange how music videos can do that!

Mily Cyrus Gets Passionate

Miley Cyrus broke our hearts when she left Twitter last month. I will always remember where I was and what I was doing at the moment I heard the news. NOW she has completely turned on Twitter.

She used to be mildly obsessed with the site, leaving updates constantly on her page. Now, she says, "Twitter should just be, like, banned from this universe." (This is probably my favorite quote, which is in the video below at about 3:30.) In case you forgot she was 16, after reading that, we are all reminded.

Taylor Swift Just Might Be Funny

This weekend, Taylor Swift is hosting Saturday Night Live. I would say there are high expectations for anyone who they ask to host. PLUS... she is also the musical guest, so she has a lot going on this weekend.

The first promos for her show have been released and honestly, I think they are pretty funny... or at least amusing. My favorite is the 2nd promo with the Kanye joke and the 3rd one as well. Check all of them out here:



Although it would be easy to do tons of Kanye jokes thoughout the night... I hope they avoid the topic altogether. The VMAs were over a month ago already and NOTHING would hurt Kanye's ego more than being ignored on live TV for 1.5 hours!

Either way, I'm excited to see how Taylor does. SNL airs (Saturday) at 11:30PM.
