Looks like the drama that we have been waiting for is officially starting on American Idol. FINALLY!! Paula was quoted saying that she doesn't think that 4 judges on American Idol is a good idea for the show.
Kara responded by saying she is disappointed in Paula's comments and also is hurt that Paula did not address the issues in person. Really, we all knew all along that Paula would be jealous of the attention that new judge Kara DioGuardi would get. It was just a matter of time. I hope they start fighting and arguing on the show. That would be fun.
What do you think? Is Kara a good addition to the show? Is Paula a whole lot of crazy?~Annie~PS. I think she is nuts! :)
Few things make me happier than free food, especially on Fat Tuesday (apparently also known as Pancake Tuesday)! Here's the scoop:
Tuesday (February 24th) at IHOPs across the country, they will be giving away a short-stack of pancakes to each customer. I know we don't have a local Port Huron IHOP, but it could be a really fun trip, or even a lunchbreak with co-workers! You can stop in pretty much all day, between the hours of 7AM and 10PM for your free pancakes. Just so you know in advance... IHOP asks for a small donation to benefit the Children's Miracle Network. This year they are trying to raise $1 million. For more information, including a list of IHOP locations, check out their website.
Enjoy your Fat Tuesday! I know I will. Let me know if you end up going. I plan to go at least to one location... who knows... maybe I'll eat at a few! It is Fat Tuesday, after all. :)
Nadya Suleman, better known now as The Octomom, has definitely had her time in the spotlight. In case somehow you haven't heard of her... here's the Cliff Notes version (before the octuplets): she had 6 kids, no means of supporting them, and no husband/significant other to help raise them. Last week, she used gave birth to 8 more children!
Seems to me that she should be getting some pretty big offers to do a TV show, or a book, or SOMETHING!!! The TLC network already has a couple shows about huge families (17 Kids And Counting and Jon & Kate Plus 8). I think she would be a perfect fit!! She certainly needs to figure something out soon before her and her 14 children starve!
She did have a donation website set up where people could give money via check, credit, or EVEN PAY PAL!! Sadly, the site has been removed. Here is the screen shot:

Recent rumors say that publicists (people who professionally make their clients look respectable) won't even represent her. Probably a bad sign. What do you think... would you watch a show starring her family or maybe purchase her tell-all-autobiography or just tell her that her 15 minutes of fame are done?
I think the Grammy Awards this year were pretty brutal as far as winners are concerned.
First of all... I barely even know who Allison Krauss is and I've worked at a country radio station. I don't think doing a collaboration with Robert Plant should automatically get you tons of Grammy Awards. They are my first major problem.
Second: I like Coldplay. I don't mind their music much. How is that they won so many awards? Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Pop Performance by a Group? There are tons of songs better than Viva La Vida. It seems like the only times that Coldplay did not win... Allison Krauss did. Really annoying.
After looking over the list of all the awards... I did find some joy in seeing that the Jonas Brothers lost for Best New Artist. I am completely against those boys. My boy bands are Hanson and N'Sync.
A couple of my favorite random categories are Best Surround Sound Album, Best Historical Album, Best Album Notes, and Best Polka Album. (The Polka winner, in case you are wondering is Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra - Let The Whole World Sing)
Here is the list: (I wrote down a couple of the other nominees in each category to show my point. Winners are in italics.)
Record of the Year: Coldplay - Viva La Vida / Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love / Allison Krauss & Robert Plant
Album of the Year: Coldplay - Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends / Allison Krauss & Robert Plant
Song of the Year: Jason Mraz - I'm Yours / Sara Bareilles - Love Song / Coldplay - Viva La Vida
Best Pop Performance by Group: Maroon 5 - Won't Go Home Without You / One Republic - Apologize / Coldplay - Viva La Vida
Best Pop Collaboration: Rihanna & Maroon 5 - If I Never See Your Face Again / Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown - No Air / Allison Krauss & Robert Plant
Best Rock Album: Kid Rock - Rock And Roll Jesus / Coldplay - Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends
What are your Grammy thoughts? Who did you want to see win? Personally, I would be happy with anyone except Coldplay, Allison Krauss, or Robert Plant.
